If you are looking for a beachside paradise, then it is worth looking towards the Mayan Riviera. Cozumel is one of the more popular islands of the Riviera and is widely considered to be an absolute haven for beach lovers. Cozumel is a relatively small island that is approximately 53 kilometres long and 15 kilometres wide and only 3 percent of the island is developed with property.

It is widely recognised as one of the best five places in the world to visit and, as such, expensive properties are typically the only ones available. Puerto Aventuras is the only gated community in Mexico and offers its own range of beaches, golf courses and luxury properties. Puerto Aventuras is only 45 minutes from Cancun airport and boasts some of the best diving in the world, with fantastic reefs within very easy reach of the shore.

As a gated community, it can be difficult to find suitably priced property, but the rewards are also huge when a property is found. Safe locations and excellent facilities make this a winner with holidaymakers and the rental yield is amongst the highest in the country.
